VW Crafter minibus for the U.S. Embassy, designed for passenger transport with removable seats and partition to allow carrying larger cargo when needed.
Vehicle: VW Crafter
Designed, manufactured, and installed:
- passenger area trim covered with economical leather combined with soft fabric, with thermal and sound insulation
- passenger area floor with moisture- and wear-resistant surface and aluminum seat rails
- comfortable seats with adjustable backrests and quick-release legs; driver and front passenger seats reupholstered to match interior
- adjustable LED lighting, additional USB, 12V, and 230V sockets in a recessed shelf under the glass for charging phones or laptops while driving
- 230V 1000W power inverter under front passenger seat
- additional air conditioner and heater, integrated with the vehicle’s HVAC system; air vents in roof
- removable partition between passenger and cargo area in two parts with quick-release fasteners
- additional transparent partition between driver and passenger for COVID-19 protection
- cargo area covered with plywood, adjustable/removable shelf for items
